In 1999, the United States Mint launched the most significant numismatic event of the twentieth century: a series of commemorative quarters honoring each of the fifty states. The coins (introduced five per year over a ten-year period) bear distinctive images that honor each state's heritage. United States quarters will not again feature their past heraldic eagle reverse until 2009! Quarters for each of the fifty states are being released each calendar quarter in the same order that each state was admitted into the union. Each state quarter is being struck at both the Philadelphia Mint and the Denver Mint and will be released through the Federal Reserve system to banks for circulation.

Lest we forget, the U.S. Mint struck over 433,000,000 Kennedy half dollars in 1964 alone (as opposed to only a total of about 481,000,000 Franklin halves that were struck in all 16 years minted) and these J.F.K. halves were still hoarded to the extent that they did not circulate. Proof versions of each quarter are being produced in both cupronickel clad and 90% silver at the San Francisco Mint, and will not be intended for circulation. These proof coins are only issued as part of each year's proof set, and as such they are only available as singles from coin dealers who break up the proof sets. Our company will offer these proof coins for sale to you each year as they become available.
Southern Coin Investments is proud to offer several ways to own a piece of numismatic history! When ordering, please specify state and mint (P for Philadelphia, D for Denver and S for San Francisco).

The market is still heading upward. Please be advised that the statehood quarter market is very volatile and subject to price increases at any time. Also, please call us for prices on quantities of $1,000 face-value bags or more.
